Birds can be watched all year round though the best time is during the dry season especially from January-March, this time is a low tourist season but birding is quiet abundant. From December-February the rainfall begin and birding can still be through.
Birders are supposed to carry a birder’s guidebook, binoculars, Sun glasses, hats, sturdy shoes(during hiking), and adequate water.
From April-May and from August-October there are heavy rainfall, which form it challenging for bird watching since the walking grounds turn slippy.
The shoebill is the park’s fewest prominent attraction though uncommon but can be spotted during the dry season. Migratory birds can be seen between November and April.
