In 1949, Mount Kenya National Park was formed basically to protect the magnificence and beauty of the flora and fauna of the mountain. This park is located in the central region of Kenya. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second highest mountain in Africa.  Mountain Kenya is famous for its glaciers, lakes, springs, dense forest and high altitude plains wildlife.
It harbors wild animals for example Lions, African Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, numerous bird species among others. There are numerous gorgeous features including panoramic views of the peak of Mt. Kenya, caves, waterfalls, salt licks, mountain climbing, bird watching and game viewing.
The park is found 175 Km away from Nairobi city.
